Week Three

We manage to fill the days here with no problem of wondering what to do.  Some golf, some tennis, some beach trips, happy hours at home and dinners out.

Halfway

We’re just over halfway through our time here and it feels good, not rushed.  There’s been lots of great beach and pool days, happy hours at each others places and dinners out.

We splurged and went to the Canoe House at the newly renovated Mauna Lani Hotel and it was very good!

Big Island, Hawaii

 Paradise

We arrived Sunday night after a turbulent flight, it was great to get on the ground in our little piece of paradise on earth.

Monday morning breakfast was hosted for us by Gina and Gary, so nice to have friends here too! Then off to Kona to do the big grocery shopping for the month.  Ted loves to stock up the snack cupboard which is great, but we won’t have the grandkids here to help eat all this stuff this year!

Yesterday we went to Hapuna Beach, the sand and ocean is so beautiful.  Perfect spot for a game of paddle ball.

Later in the afternoon Ted played doubles with some 4.0 players at the Fairmont Orchid and he had a great time, and I spent time by the pool reading and chatting with people there.  A great start to our month here…
