Bullfight in Campo Pequeno stadium

Last night in Lisbon and we had two things left to check off of our 'must-do' list.  Ted wanted to find the original ginjinha shop which sells one drink, a liqueur.  Made from the Ginja berry, this liqueur was originally made around 1840 by a friar of Santo António's Church. It's much like a cherry liqueur and ours had a few of the small berries in it, it's poured into a small plastic shot glass and everyone stands outside in the square drinking it as the shop is just big enough for the shopkeeper to pour it at his tiny bar.

.

People line up to be served their 1.3 euro shot (cheap)

Another poorly taken selfie, we were toasting with our drinks!

From there we walked along the wide cobblestoned avenue of restaurants, where the long line of owners/staff show you their menus and try to talk you into eating at their establishment.  We picked
one,  had dinner and then got on the Metro to go see the bullfight which was to start at 10pm.

Campo Pequeno holds 10,000 people, it's used for concerts as well.

I was a little disappointed that the capes weren't red!

At the end of the fight a large group of Matadors engage the bull before he is taken out of the arena.

End of the first fight. Each bull has one fight, we left after three of them.

The stadium was renovated several years ago and now has a retractable roof, and there is a large shopping complex underneath of it.
