This park is huge, there's also a lake to rent remote controlled sailboats; playgrounds for little kids, tennis courts, table tennis, an orangerie, trees everywhere with benches for sitting and picnicking, and several large grass fields for lounging around and playing soccer.

Luxembourg Gardens
Once we left the Catacombes we figured a beautiful park would be a great way to shake off the effects of that so we walked over to Luxembourg Park. The sky was blue and the weather very warm so the huge park was filled with people of all ages. In Paris people seem to love to be outside sitting on park benches, laying on the grass, and at sidewalk cafes, not many people seem to be in as much of a hurry as they do back home. We've made sure to pack a picnic of baguettes and wine and beer on ice in ziplock baggies to keep cold on our adventures out every day, while in Paris do as the Parisiennes do. :)
